Request for submitting proposals for special issues

Dear members of the Association of Natural Language Processing,

In addition to our quarterly journal, Journal of Natural Language Processing, the Editorial Committee publishes special issues on an as-needed basis to provide opportunities for information about new technologies and research findings in specific areas to be presented in a timely manner and widely shared. The Editorial Committee always welcomes proposals for special issues.

If you wish to submit a proposal for a special issue, please send the proposal to this e-mail address: The proposal must include the following information: your name and affiliation, date of proposal, theme, purpose and focus area of the special issue, paper submission method and format, schedule and members of an editorial committee for the special issue. The Editorial Committee will discuss your proposal and publicly solicit papers to be published in the special issue after the proposal is approved. You or someone attending on your behalf may be requested to explain your proposal to an Editorial Committee meeting.
